Grease from the kitchen travels into the hood, through the vent hood filters, into ductwork that leads to the exhaust fan on the roof. Grease is a fuel that can ignite with a simple spark from the kitchen cooking line and spread throughout the attic and onto the roof in seconds causing severe damage and potential loss of life. The owner of the exhaust system has the ultimate responsibility to ensure the exhaust system is safe.
Method of Work:
The kitchen extraction ducts will be cleaned and degreased to the bare metal, using environment friendly chemicals and by manually scraping the inner surfaces of all the accessible parts of the ducts, either by physically entering into the ducts through the temporary/permanent accesses or by making multiple accesses in the ducts, wherever Physical entry is not possible. The vertical section may be cleaned using the steam and the rotating metal brushes.
Our services are carried out in accordance with Dubai Municipality and NFPA#96 (Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations) which clearly states that the “entire system shall be cleaned to bare metal”.
Inspection and or cleaning should be carried out at least every six (6) months or earlier depending on the type and amount of cooking.
After completion of the job, a cleaning certificate will be issued within 10-12 days along with the after service report including the photographs before and after.
